Oren releases debut album ‘Obsession’ |

KOHIMA, JUL 18: A young upcoming artiste, Oren Mozhui, today released his debut audio album ‘Obsession’ at Dream Café, Kohima. The audio CD contents 12 soulful ballads written and composed by the artist and recorded and mixed at Clef Ensemble Kohima. Guest artistes include Kenei, Nanu and Leanne.
The songs are simple and tastefully composed which manifests adroit qualities and promises in the young singer who was inspired by pop and ballad.
Written over a span of 6 to 7 years, Oren said the recording itself took about a year. Reasoning that he decided to make his debut album a love songs despite questions on why he hasn’t done something else, he said, “I believe I’ve done something I can do best and what I best like doing”. Explaining that the songs are catchy and easy to the ear, he hoped he could continue to sing more of such songs in future.
The producer of the album, Alfred Besu of Clef Ensemble said youngsters should be encouraged to take up music as a profession. Attributing the release of the album to consistency and hard work, he said these qualities always pay at the end. Encouraging young aspiring musicians to come forward, he said they should know how to market their music.
The album was launched by band members of Divine Connection who have been encouraging Oren all along in his foray into the music market of Nagaland. The launch was hosted by Lukingailu Kamei while Jonathan gave the vote of thanks. The CD is priced at Rs 150 and would be available in markets soon.
