Native Rising a straight ahead Rock band with an amalgamation of renowned musician from Nagaland came about in September 2005.Their lyrics talks about social issues and will power. Sound wise they built their songs with melody lines from eighties rock with modern riffs which are nasty and heavy and blend it with an almost unbelievable smoothness that is quite unique, reason they call it (style) Nu Rock. The lead singer of the band is also regarded by many as the only female Rock singer who’s taken the rock scene of the North East by storm.

In just a short period of time Native Rising has won many hearts from all over the North East India and has been invited to numerous high profile music Festivals in the region. They have done more than 30 gigs in and around the region. Timothy (Bass) was honored with the prestigious ‘Musician of the Year’ award at the recently held Rattle & Hum Fest ’07 amongst dignitaries & Music lovers from all over the state. They have nine originals under their belt. Native Rising is right now working on an Album.
