Grew up in a home filled with all kinds of music - good and the bad :-) ! Began strumming the guitar around 7 years of age I think. Was active in the school band. Most memorable time I had playing the guitar, sometimes even providing backing vocals, with my teacher's band called the Gnats. We used to tour all over the state of Assam playing gigs in Tea Planters' Clubs and other concerts. The highpoint of my school days was winning the 1st Regional Beat Contest in 1972 at Mokokchung, Nagaland, with a band called the Groovies. I won the Best Bass Guitarist award too. For a short time had a band called the Evil Eye. Moved on to college and had a great time singing duets with my friend Athili, besides doing solo, in concerts and used to be featured in the Locat Talent Show program of the All India Radio, Kohima, Nagaland. Used to do covers of assorted bands like Rolling Stones, Beatles, CCR, Grand Funk Railroad, Deep Purple, Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, ......... Finally in 1995 I released my debut album Rock Of All Times. May not be the best of production but I am proud to present them to you. Hope you like them.
