Vesekhoyi Tetseo (Vee)

(Vesekhoyi Tetseo) Known as 'Vee' was born in Nagaland and raised in a Christian family of five siblings, Vee with two brothers and two sisters.  After the retirement of his father from military Vee found himself displaced and self-seeking his identity which led him through a rebellious youth life. By the time he was 14, (1982-1983) his love for rock music got him into joining some local rock band in Kohima and Dimapur, which eventually led him to marijuana, alchohol and drug abuse. He started playing gigs in the local rock music scene and few other towns/cities in the North-East way back in 1982-88. Although he personally received Christ (Born Again) at the age of 15, he backslided and drifted far from the Lord. It wasn't long before the Lord called him back to Himself. In the year 1988, he played his last rock concert and got back to the Church resolving to use his talents for the Lord.

In the year 1995, he left for the Philippines to study at the Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary, Baguio majoring in Voice and Conducting. After his graduation in 1998, he served at University Baptist Church, Baguio and First Baptist Church, San Fernando. In the year 1999, he joined his graduate studies at Asia Baptist Graduate Theological Seminary to work on his Th.D .

He met his wife Ai Nohara in Baguio in 1998 and got married in 1999. They have three wonderful boys named Levi (7), Kozo (5) and Setsuri (2). From November 2000 to April 2008, he served as associate pastor at Okinawa Daiichi Baptist Church. He was ordained by the Okinawa Baptist Convention, Okinawa in 2006. The Lord has led him and his wife to start Great Commission International on May 10th, 2008.

The one passion that drives Vee is for all the nations to worship Jesus Christ. His passion to serve God in this field has led him to organize worship seminars, worship conferences, speak/ lead seminars/workshops. Besides leading worship at church and on the local scene he has led worship at conferences like Franklin Graham Festival, Okinawa; Asian Baptist Congress, Thailand etc. He has authored a booklet on worship , produced and sold in the Philippines; have written/composed and produced worship album called 'Redeemer, Go-Ye Chanpuru!, and recently produced 'Amazed'.  These worship songs/ CD has been released in Japan. He has collaborated with Mictham Records on the CD 'Rising Sun' which has had the best selling worship album in Japan.

Recent worship album 'Amazed' is filled with styles that are dear to his heart. You have a hymn arrangement of 'Alas! And did my savior bleed' or better known as 'At the Cross' in a Bossa Nova Jazz style.(The only song that is not his original). 'Amazed' has Latin, Gospel, Rock, Praise and Worship etc. An album that uniquely expresses Vee's musical influence. Most songs in the CD 'Amazed' was recorded live except for few adds on instruments like Sax, Violin etc.

Presently, while serving as Pastor of Great Commission International, he serves as leader of the worship band Go-Ye! Chanpuru and J4J Acoustic Band. Besides the worship band Vee leads an Acappella group called 'Bokshillas'. Bokshi meaning Pastor in Japanese and loves singing Acappella.
